Atlas Bathrooms & Heating

Atlas Bathrooms & Heating was established in 1848 and began as a Coppersmith's serving the building industry. It became the UK's second largest hot water cylinder manufacturer before diversifying into the plumbing and heating industry as a plumber's merchant. The business has been an independent bathroom retailer for the past 20 years and is owned by the 5th and 6th generation of the Baguley family, who remain actively involved in day-to-day management. It operates bathroom showrooms in Warrington, Manchester and Huddersfield alongside its plumbers merchant business, supplying both to the trade and retail.

It offers a free bathroom design service using CAD software and can provide customers with details of tradesmen who can install selected bathroom equipment. Products include wet rooms and tiled trays, shower cubicles and power showers, whirlpools and air spas, steam cubicles and saunas, ceilings and lighting, tiles and floor coverings, heated towel rails, design radiators and under floor heating, hand picked from British, European and American design led manufacturers.

Stretford shoppers often single out the knowledgeable, approachable team at Atlas Bathrooms & Heating, with Paul, Lisa, Lisa L and Tony named for going out of their way to assist, frequently at short notice. The showroom is described as attractive, holding a broad spread of bathroom displays and stock that ranges from budget to premium, which helps customers settle on products and plan layouts. Advice is a recurring theme: staff prepare numerous layout drawings and quotes and propose parts or approaches buyers had not thought of, including one instance where a missing valve component was found while a plumber waited on site.

Orders are reported as easy to place, deliveries arrive promptly, and after-sales issues are resolved generously, whether replacing a sink with a small blemish or supplying a forgotten rough-in box. Knowledgeable service is matched by a friendly manner, and the same helpfulness is extended to trade buyers and those needing single replacement parts. The stock spans full bathroom and ensuite projects, showers, trays, toilets, tiles and kitchen sink drainage, with pricing described as comparable to online rates. Collections, returns and exchanges are said to be hassle-free, reflecting a practical, advice-led approach.
