I needed an odd shaped bathroom part that I thought would be hard to source, but both Jon and Jenn did everything they could and using their expertise managed to find a match and at a great price with quick delivery, thank you so much - I know where to go for now ☺️

When I walked into Bubblegum Bathrooms I was entirely sure that they wouldn’t have what I needed within my price range but I had time to kill so thought I’d see what they had. Having previously been to well known DIY stores I was feeling a little flat. The shop is like a tardis! So many displays for every taste. John introduced himself straight away and asked if he could help. I explained that I only had a small bathroom but needed it to be functional, hardwearing and easy to clean. I liked the idea of the built in units but didn’t think I had enough space. The previous cabinets I looked at elsewhere, while they looked nice online, were cheaply made and flimsy in person. I was expecting a hard sell of expensive ‘superior’ items. I was wrong. John asked if I had considered plastic cabinets. I quickly said absolutely not, I was thinking more along the lines of a built in high gloss cabinet and basin. I gestured to a display model. To my surprise he told me that those were in fact plastic. I still don’t know how they are plastic as they look like a high end gloss door! I liked the idea of a double cabinet but didn’t think it would work in my bathroom as I have so little space and a lot of boxed in pipework. John asked me to send him photos and measurements once I got home to see what could be done. The next problem was my ugly tiles, mostly the hideous grout that always looks dirty, no matter how hard I scrub! John directed me to the shower board. It has been a game changer!! If you value your time, get shower board! It used to take me upwards of 2 hours to clean my bathroom and it still looked dingy. It now takes me 20 mins max to do absolutely everything. The shower board is so easy to clean! I just use a mop, no scrubbing, no harsh chemical’s. I have lost count of the amount of bath panels we have installed over the years. Plastic ones are too flimsy, the others swell and warp. All look terrible after a few months. Again John suggested plastic, again it is thick, sturdy and looked like high gloss. We even ended up getting plastic countertop! I never would have thought I’d like plastic! Everything else in our home is wood. They even have flooring, so we were able to get that too. We’re so happy, we have so much more storage space in our bathroom now, everything fits neatly away, it’s so easy to clean and feels light and airy rather than dank and dingy. We never thought that we would be able to achieve such a difference. The advice offered, with no pressure to buy, was invaluable and helped us to build a bathroom that works for our day to day living.
