Bath Barn

4.7(84 reviews)·Leicester

Bath Barn, based in Leicester, supplies and fits bathrooms, with Rahul and Sunil handling design and quotes and fitters including Mondi, Neil and Ken praised for tidy, efficient rip-outs and refits, often completed within days at short notice. Customers describe full bathroom and toilet renovations, tile supply for kitchens as well as bathrooms, and staff returning after more than a year to fix a grout crack at no charge. Set against this, one detailed and serious review describes a renovation left with multiple leaks and poor installation after the trading company ceased operating under its original name. As a bathroom fitter in Leicester, Bath Barn holds a 4.7-star average from 84 Google reviews.

Working with Bath Barn was an excellent experience from start to finish. I wanted the renovation completed quickly so I could move in to my new home as soon as possible and the team was incredibly accommodating. After I selected the products, they started the work the very next day and completed everything efficiently without compromising on quality. Rahul was very helpful in choosing the right products and made the process smooth and stress free.Mondi did a fantastic job with the installation, and the workmanship was neat, professional and detailed. The whole team was reliable, hardworking and easy to deal with. I am extremely happy with the final result and would highly recommend Bath Barn to everyone looking for fast ,highly quality renovation work.

Bath Barn purports to be a family-run business with a long history - something that gives weight to the one-year guarantee they offer. However, you are not entering into a contract with Bath Barn, but rather whichever company that the owner has set up in any given period. To date, the following companies have run under the guise of Bath Barn: 247 Bathrooms (Incorporated 26 June 2013 / Dissolved 29 July 2014) Bath Barn (Incorporated 22 September 2017 / Dissolved 27 August 2019) Abbey Bathroom LTD (Incorporated 17 September 2013 / Dissolved 24 June 2025). From the same address, and with the same director, you'll also find: Laurent Claim Solutions LTD, Laurent Property LTD, Laurent Homes LTD as well as My Urban Homes LTD and Property & Living 2 LTD. You may make of the number of companies what you will, but it certainly does not aid trust when you find that the company owner has changed the underlying company at least three times in the past decade. We engaged Abbey Bathroom Ltd trading as Bath Barn in September 2024. Rahul came to our house and made all the right noises, describing what would be done and how. It was a comprehensive job, with both bathroom and toilet (two separate rooms) being redone thanks to significant leaks from the existing install. The price was around £500 cheaper than B&Q but it was the fact that Bath Barn were available quickly that decided us. Initially all appeared to go well, although alarm bells should have rung when Rahul indicated that all payment had to be made before the job was done. The problems began almost immediately. Since Rahul and his team entered our property, we have had the following issues: * Leak from the newly installed shower frame (repaired, but with silicone on both sides of the glass, causing ingress of water and mould growth) * Leak from incorrectly installed soil pipe causing water to pour through the ceiling. * Leak from subsequent repair, causing the ceiling to collapse * Release of sewer gas from drain trap due to missing parts in said trap * Movement in shower tray - likely to cause seal failure * Movement in flooring, causing one of the vinyl planks to crack where it sits over a raised screw head, and issues with the seal at the shower base * Damage to newly installed wall where the shower screen had leaked Additionally, the installer made the following errors: * Miscut panel leading to uneven trim around the shower and sink * Poorly installed tap (held in place with offcuts) * Lazily or poorly cut trim on internal and external panel edges, resulting in gaps and poor overall look * Poor installation of wiring in attic (for the lighting) that then had to be made safe by a professional electrician, as it was simply left open on top of insulation and was classed as a fire risk * Poorly cut flooring in toilet leading to a gap opening up along wall. * Poorly installed toilet with flexipipe requiring a plumber to remove and reinstall the toilet in order to stop drainage issues. * Lazy wall install, leaving us to do the final plastering work. * Toilet door not properly replaced, requiring the hinge to be redrilled and refitted * Poorly installed border strips All of the above became apparent in the space of 9 months. To give credit where it's due, Rahul and his team did come to repair certain elements - they did re-silicone the shower, albeit incorrectly, meaning it had to be redone by a professional tradesman; they also repaired the soil pipe and replastered the ceiling following its collapse and cleaned up the majority of the mess. This was appreciated up to a point. However, when requested to look at the toilet and other issues (now largely repaired by other tradespeople at great expense), Rahul initially refused to answer and then, eventually, informed me Abby Bathroom LTD had gone under. In short, this is not a reliable company. Their guarantees are worth nothing, and they operate a sub-standard service that, if you're lucky, will only look poor but, if unlucky, will result in significant damage to your house and expense to you.

Had a great experience as a Landlord purchasing a full bathroom re-fit. I needed a company that could give me precise dates that they would be working and stick to them. I feel Bath Barn did that very well which meant I had no issues from the tenants as they were without a bathroom. Rahul was great with communication and kept me in the loop the whole time and let me know if additional works / options were required or needed confirming. Overall, excellent experience. Thanks Bath Barn
